Picchio [Dieter Specht] born in Remscheid, Germany in 1936, moved 18 years ago to the southern part of Switzerland. After a fast-track career as the chief executive of an international company, he finally concentrated himself on art.
So far the “young” artist sold in 5 years time about 25% of his 220 paintings.
His style is like his temperament, quick. He prefers expressive colors and paints
“wet on wet”. Using a pallet knife and a lot of paint, he is leaving a visible structure on the canvas. Many of his paintings and their themes are broken down by geometric shapes (Segment-Art).
