I'm not calling the artist a liar but that is almost too good to be done with just a mouse in photoshop 7. If it was then I'll eat my shorts, but I would like to see more initial stages of the piece to verify that it is completely from scratch and not just a photo changed slightly like Mel Rodicq said. It still looks good though regardless.

Very well done:) nice composition with great shade&light play, except for one minor defect(I guess)is the knuckles on the fingers below ,but its definately put back by this imposing image,over all an effort well paid:)

A note for Mel... this portrait was created from scratch in photoshop. I haven't yet learnt the art of creating a realistic impression of a panting over a photograph!
And this for Jim... I think I'll try to create a portarait of Ben Stiller next time... maybe you'll recognize him as Tom :)
