I did have a story to go with the image.The idea behind the painting was to paint a city that would represent a technological people similar to our own.
The cloaked figure is observing this race of people as they reach there peak.
There is something about the cloaked figure that is mysterious. :)

I completely agree with B.M. McMillan.

Having said that, I must say that I really like the way this is done. Your style works well with this kind of images. Just.. a little artist's comment. ..you know, to tell the story. Lots of people (me included) feels like they have to know the story behind to be able to fully appreciate an image =)

I really like the image, but the design of the ship and buildings seems a little too plain pudding. I really mean that in the best way possible, everything about the image works great (for me, this is just opinion), except the designs themselves. It feels like there should be a story behind why the things are designed that way, and if that is in place, I think it would come out as making more sense in the image.
