I had to take a photo of the hand drawing rather than use a scanner, and that added a whole lot of grain while trying to separate the line drawing from the background, and I just let it work to my advantage. I also added layers of noise at various stages to keep it grainy.

That looks really amazing. I expected that you maybe used Painter, but I guess not. How's you get that awesome smeary pastel look? The skin tones are spot-on, and the expression is terrific as well. Well worth Art of the Week!

Must have been a slow week.
Well, after my Ledger's Joker painting got rejected I wasn't really planning on posting anything here again, but I threw this up just to see how it went and I suppose it's nice to feel appreciated, so perhaps I shouldn't part from here. Thanks for giving me art of the week!
