Just a couple raccoons doing what raccoons do...look cute and then rip apart the flower garden and the bird feeders. But, they are charming critters to paint. This was painted entirely with Photoshop, took about 75 hours, the full size image is 48x72 inches. No reference photos, no scanned or imported images used. I did look at a raccoon photo on-line after the painting was done...wanted to check my fading memory....it is still intact for now. LOL!!

The racoons are greatly camouflaged among the tree and vegetation. Looks like a photograph that is educational in purpose. The raccoons make a great subject. All The green and brown is all woodsy just no contrasting color that makes a focal point or any warm colors that lead the eye anywhere. Very cute though.
