Frank(or Archimbaldo(I think you are the same)) , it seems you are one of high members of snubs club! You wrote the same comment (a comment that show your high knowledge (!?) of digital painting and your contempt for Con-artists!!!) on my works. I checked your so called gallery (?!!) and I found nothing! a digital master painter had nothing for show and judgment!(not curious?) let us see your ability then make ballyhoo about works of other people. be sure I will have some words about you masterpieces!

I'm struck by the fact that it seems to be more a manipulated photograph than portrait. The choice of subject is puzzling too, but I guess any subject will do.
I do however believe that this is a work that offers a demo of the brush-techniques of a certain software more than any artist using this software. I would like to see some original work coming out of this - if I may be so bold - demo of brushes.
You have to tools and you understand how to use them. Start with a blank page and make an original piece. Maybe?

I had to register..to log in to put a comment on this website because i was attracted by your picture..of my favorite show ..house...i read the comment under the picture and found them so pedantic i was really angry..who cares how you made it ..it looks great..people rubbish the work of every artist that ever was.. through the centuries there is always some ass...h who has to make some negative comment..and who care... this looks good i like ...i like the brush strokes.. the color and to me it has artistic merit... and who is to say it has not... by what standard are we to judge what is art or artistic.... what a lot of rubbish... all the best to you...

Thanks for your comments. But I think this work is a bit more than a brush demo! In fact I am not a vendor for selling digital sable brushes! I follow digital painting for artistic means! Certainly this work is not a photo manipulation. I used a photo as my reference and I put every thing in its proper place with nice Grid system of Corel painter. The brush strokes are obvious since I wanted to show the natural looking touches of various oil brushes (for example look at the down right side). I think when you use a photo as your reference you are not obliged to the photographer chooses. It is only a starting point. You can build up you own composition and color system, If you know what you have to do. And a question from Daniel: what is the plug in (or plug ins) you mentioned? I know all Photoshop plug ins and a few other programs also (Corel photo paint and photo impact for example) which plug in can give such a painterly look to a work? (Or photo as you assume). Please give me the related information and release me my of intensive brush working! As I know, they (such filters) give only a homogeneous and artificial appearance to a work.

Nice plugin use... No artistic merit at all though.
