I fell in love with a photo from Paul Gerritsen at this link http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=Paul_Gerritsen-1143974761.jpg and asked his permission to use it as a reference to paint and put in my series "Flowers of Emotions". Increadible realism! Now you should use you natural eye to paint something like this without the use of reference. I bet you can achieve equivalent results, not that there's anything wrong with using photo reference. When I started painting from the heart, it became much more fun, though. Great work!
