Artist's Comment

This is the last in my series of Faeries for a greeting card submission. I thought this would be a nice tribute to those classical paintings where a young man is sleeping in the forest and lit by moon night."Endymion" by Girodet was one of my favorite paintings when we studied art history in college. Of course in my version, the admiring faerie is up to no good. The faithful dog is based on my Miniature Australian Shepherd, Freckles, who is a pretty good watch dog. Comments are welcome.

Great muscles! You've got a nice sense of realism attained in this one. The only problem with the muscles is a practical one, not an anatomical one: His muscles are all tense like he is doing sit-ups instead of sleeping. :D
