Here's my latest painting. I wanted to represent how things in life that are beautiful and wonderful are often fleeting and hard to hold onto. The hummingbirds and butterflies symbolize this. I wanted the woman to have a look of hope. She illustrates the belief that catching the beauty in life is possible.

This was painted in Photoshop. I worked on it one off and on for about 2 weeks. I tried soooo hard to get it "perfect" but I can still see quite a few flaws. Ah well. I'm ready for my next painting, so fixing the flaws here will have to wait.

i like the woman, i like it all to be honest, the butterflies are a bit predictable, but they still look good

I like that you used smaller more delicate representations such as your butterflies and hummingbirds to show life as delicate. Many think you need a strong eagle or wolf or something more forceful to show life and the feeling of being alive. To see real beauty in life takes a keen eye and a heart of love and patience to all creatures great and small.

She is beautiful and so is the scene...very much the dream of a cartoon evening: endlessly hopeful.
