Artist's Comment

The image started life as a photograph. I added my feelings to it. When my father died I felt a scream lodge in my throat and it seemed to stay there. Creating this image helped unblock the feelings.

This is a real scream of pain. He is dead. Forever is a long time.

A powerful image, obviously very personal and rather distressing. I imagine creating this piece would have released a lot of painful emotions.
