Artist's Comment

The "Great Blight" is a large area corrupted by the Dark One in "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan. It is filled with malevolent and diseased creatures and plants including carniverous trees.
On the edges of "The Blight" the main indication that it is near is the unnatural over-ripeness of the vegetation.

I am a fan of "The Wheel of Time" and this is a very interesting interpretation of the blight. I like it!
