First part of a serie illustrating mythological/folklore creatures. I've done this one so far, but if it's worth, I'll keep on going.
About 5-6 hours of work.
Comments & critique will be very appreciated!
Greetings: Dan.
Ghost chicken (lidérccsirke) is hungarian (and slowakian)folklore creature. A when a black chicken's first egg is smaller than regular, it will become a ghost chicken. One has to hatch it by himself, or it will bring death upon his family. The chicken fulfills its owner's certain wishes, except wishes for money (because every old hungarian money had a cross printed on it...and as this chicken is somehow a devil's manifest, it couldn't touch holy materials)
If someone doesn't want to own this creature, that egg has to be thrown back above his shoulder, standing in front of the house. |
