When I painted this landscape I thought on those harbour cranes. They remind me to huge rods I wanted to put both elements in a "surrealistic/ kitsch" way . A real one, the guy fishing and the rods with fish skeletons. I like to put a different element in different conditions in a real scene.
I painted it with custom PS brushes. No photographic integrations.

Very cool, the time of day has great lighting and makes for a very peaceful setting. The only suggestion I would make, because everything else is just praise, would be to add some very faint color to give the figure a little detail.
