These big guys used to be normal Strike Units untill they were raised in rank to the DeepStrike Unit.
There is only around 400 or so that are good enough to be selected for DeepStrike training, in which they are sent to the lower levels of the planet on special missions in and around the ruined city of Taxscoom and the tar swamps in the surface of the earth.
Some are also considerd as guards for the Comanders of the Eden City army.
