Your color pallete is working really well. I like the subtle purples that occur when your red and blue mix. I also enjoy the splatter type marks that add a violent twist to the image.
Overall your composition is working pretty well in terms of how you decided to use the negative space. However, I find the central placement of the portrait a little predictable and static. I would also reconsider the decision to include the floating eyeballs. If you feel that the eyeballs must stay you could find a way to make them more abstract or find some other way to reference them.
