For a while now I wanted to paint a portrait with a sort of sad hint... I chose loneliness.

This piece has challenged me in so many ways. The amount of detail almost drove me crazy, also I have never painted an Asian, nor a child for that matter, so it took a lot, lot, lot of work.

The piece was done entirely in Painter and Photoshop. Two weeks of hard hard work.

You have some mad talent Marta... Very nicely done. The detail is exquisite. Someone said they could almost smell the incense... I have to agree... Beautiful. All your work is quite special and full of such detail. I can say, for me, your two weeks of hard, hard work paid off in spades.

This is superb work, there is such an atmosphere that goes along with this work of art, and the detail put into the cloths is amazing!

Marta this is a wonderful work of art and I can see you spent a lot of time working on it. The rich colors and amazing detail remind me of Asia right away. You've captured the texture of fine silk and the kittens fur looks amazing. I get the sense that the child is scared his expression looks serious but a bit worried. Maybe this was the look you were going for. Also, the glow from the candles might lighten and darken the face a bit more to give it more contrast. Overall great work and I really think you have a wonderful gift. :)
