Living River (Waterscapes) digital artwork by cre8tiv

Artist's Comment
This is a digital painting that combines an impressionistic brush with a dry oil brush. The impressionistic brush was used for the foilage and smaller rocks and pebbles. I used the dry oil brush for the river, larger rocks and for the two prominent trees. I then brought the painting into Photoshop for a color fill, blend mode, some levels, curves, and hue/saturation adjustment. These types of enhancements made it easier to bring in some color to the river, which was white, gray with a hint of blue. Global tonal adjustment were also easier in Photoshop. It helped to bring a photo-realistic touch to the painting.

Great work you've done there! the use of light and shadows added a very realistic effect.
