Artist's Comment

First saw The Golden Wall by Hofmann Hans in the mid sixties. Fell in love with it and was given a small reproduction on canvas as a gift. Then in the 70's I visited the Chicago Art Museum and the painting graced a large dark wall and being 59½ x 71½" and artfully lit was a wonder to behold.

Ever since then I have wanted to do a repise of his work and was inspired to do this work. Took quite some time to paint on the screen but was enjoyable.
