Absolutely outstanding! Oil has been a favorite choice for portrait artists in traditional media, and the digital counterpart does not dissapoint! Your mastery of the media is apparent in this portrait. Even if it is a paint over an existing photo, you can't capture the brushstrokes, style and texture of an oil portrait by simply painting over a photo. The hair textures and highlights, the color in the boy's eyes and the boy's hands are all great. Have to give this a 5.

I will say that if this is drawn and painted from scratch then a 5.0 is in order. It looks an awful lot like a paint over of an existing photo. If that is the case, it still is a nice image, but I would not give it the same rating. Perhaps that is where one of the ratings came in as a 3.0. I would guess from their comment that they think it is a paint over and feel that you are trying to say it is a hand drawn and hand painted image. So if this is hand drawn, then I give you mad props. It would be really cool to see some stills of the piece in progress. I would give it probably a 3.5-4.0 if it is a paint over.
