An image for a gloomy short story I'm working on.

I love this piece.

Very well done, kind of has a Hayao Miyazaki-like feel.

The illuminated umbrellas and the shapes of the skyline remind me of the movie Bladerunner. You have a very dimensional anime style. Soft, but realistic. Very nice.

lovely. i really like the expressions on both of their faces, makes you wonder what they're thinking, what they just said to each other, stuff like that. very well done.

I don't think the brightness detracts from the feeling of the artwork at all. This is really beautiful. It looks like you've really put alot of thought into every little detail. The weird light thing under her umbrella, the alien city behind, the clothes each person wears. The water under the bridge is very subtle, but I can still easily tell that it's water. There's so much depth here, Just looking at this picture makes me want to read the story. Would you put a link to the story here when you finish it? or PM me.

Hi Dreaz,
ya i'm working on a pretty dark screen, it's calibrated to get along with my printer which is pretty silly since it's supposed to be set the other way round ^_^; so I have somewhat no idea what other people actually see on their screen..
as for the black lines, i've removed most of it to try to get a more painterly effect, especially in the bg; not sure it works though.
thanks for your comment :)
