This is just excellent art, truly magnificent style, and very well done, all the way through. imo, a more detailed background would take the focus away from the main character. The second girl and the pillars are just the right amount of background =)
However, I wish you didn't tell me that it is the once pretty, shy little girl, looking uncertain and sad.. Even though she was forced to become this cold, cruel lady, it takes lots of her charms away. But of course, that was/is completely your choice, and none of my business. Anyways, great work =)

Very nice! I love you for this! *hugs* Very nice detail and I love the lanturns- they are so beautiful! The expression on the little one's face is adorable. This looks like something out of a story book :)
