The idea here was to convey the importance or popularity of the deceased. I attempted to take the viewpoint of a member of the crowd of mourners catching a glimpse of the funeral procession as it passes by.
The rays of light are designed to enhance the solemn occasion and perhaps hint at a spiritual aspect.
