Unfortunately, most graphic art, as in the kind used to build websites, is not considered an expression of true imaginative creation. It is used to give information in a bland cookie-cutter style that lacks any real depth. I see many great technicians in all the top programs, but very seldom do I see anyone creating functional websites out of their work. There are a few that bridge the gap between graphic art (for arts sake?), and functional interactive web display, I am one such artist.
In my opinion, the interactive dynamics of web-art are really the clue that so many ‘new’ artists are failing to grasp. With the web, YOUR ART CAN HAVE A PULSE OF ITS OWN! Anything short of this is just rehashed glory from times and masters gone by. The real frontier is living, breathing and communicating works of art that entice the viewer to look deeper within and beyond.
