Access Denied (Abstract/Surreal) digital artwork by Michael Bowdidge

Artist's Comment
This piece originates from a single digital photograph taken at a freight pallet yard near where I live. It took me over a year to resolve this one, which is unusual as I normally like to work quite quickly.

I like those artworks, looks like some kind of strange, surrealistic and abstract architecture and landscapes, one sutile industrial touch, original and with personality.
I forgot, for the artworks a 4.5 and a five for the home page :-)

The vertical lines clash with the horizontal forms and subtle curves.
Lacks substance. Good only in small doses.

Excellent color and tonal control. I would have never guessed I was looking at a freight pallet, but now I see hints of it here and there (nice texture too). But a year to resolve? Photoshop was simply not meant to run on a 286. Time to get an upgrade.
