Crescendo (Abstract/Surreal) digital artwork by Michael Bowdidge

Artist's Comment
This is a recent piece of mine, it was created from 4 digital photographs taken in Margate in the United Kingdom on Good Friday 2003. I called it 'Crescendo' as for me it has a sense of events moving towards some sort of mysterious climax. The way I work also has a lot in common with improvised music-making and 'jamming' in that I never know how a piece is going to be resolved until I get to that intuitive moment when it suddenly just feels 'right'. I wanted to reflect these thoughts in the title. You can see more of my work at www.michaelbowdidge.com

The movement of the piece does bring to mind a crescendo. It makes your eye travel up.

It looks as though it's rushing towards you. Very interesting. Good photo-compositing is harder than it looks. Great job.

Excellent, surging, complex, and powerful image. I partucularly like compressed energy in the upper right

I like it, I think right upper corner sortta "flatten" the emotion little, but overall it does "jamming", love the color use, too.
