i think the shadowing has too much variance in it. i like the design, but also at the beginning of any sword (the metal closest to the hilt) is not sharp at all--it's a constant width all the way across, making it into a rectangle rather than sharp on the sides. the sharpening starts about (referring to your sword)... probably after the first 2 or 3 symbols, and even then it's somewhat gradual. if you would like a picture of one, e-mail me and let me know, i'll try to get one for you. :) other than that, i really like the design and the style of the hilt. good imagination.
