I'll give you a 5 for realizing that "digital art" doesn't necessarily mean "illustration" which is usually all that you will find here (my work included). Taking the inititative to develop your own tools puts you ahead of the curve.
There are many digital artists working in similar methods exploring the effects of technology other than PS. I forget the name but there are at least 2 artists who infect their software with viruses and then track& display the visual outcome of the infection.
The question about tech becomes one of "who is driving who?".
Could it be that the daily surfing and posting we do serves to make up the "DNA" of a "cybersentience", and that the Singularity has already occured?
Thanks for providing some fertile ground for thought.
I'd be interested in seeing more of this as you develop your craft.
