| My mother, Thelma Forshaw was a reknowned short story writer and book reviewer and would have turned 80 today, 1 August 2003. This tribute picture is an altered version of a tiny, old publicity shot, enlarged using the Genuine Fractals plugin and colour corrected and enhanced (with an obligatory watercolour filter). There's also an excerpt from one of her better-known stories, "The Widow Maker" - in Courier because she refused to use word processors and clunked away on her old typewriter. |
