This is my first digital portrait. Made in Flash, using a photo reference. Even though I did have to copy some of the main colors from the photograph, I think for my first attempt I did a pretty good job.

This is quite good work. The size of this piece is fairly small so the paint-by-number shading is to be expected when you view it full size. Using a photo reference is, I think, necessary when using a mouse. Even so, painting over the photo still requires care, and skill.

i say it's absolutely awesome, very realistic and good coloring. the function in fash (don't know how it's called actually) where you can make such an image out of a bitmap couldn't have done it better...
