This self-portrait was created for a community project. I love the clothing, manners and customs of the people in Katherine Kerr's 'Deverry' series, and thought that if I was going to place myself in a fantasy setting hers would be a highly agreeable one :). So here I am as Lady Harmony, enjoying some fresh air and sunshine on a rooftop garden for noble ladies... dreaming of what might lie beyond those mountains, and hoping that the winter brings my Lord home safely from campaign. i am a fantasy freak... i love'd Kerr's Deverry series too... i've read all her books... im not so keen on the more modern set ones though

i like the art too though... he he

its very good. its clear you put a lot of effort into this. her wrinkeled shirt is very nicely done. i think it lacks a focal point, though. there is focus and detail throghout the entire depth of the image. i guess things farther away from her could use a little blurring. still it looks great.

I am not that fantasy freak, but I like this portrait and its colors. Maybe less background to make a more portrait - or some more landscape around...
